This two story grand estate is located on a flat lot, front a beautiful lake in Texas. Two options for the style of the home were initially investigated, a French Manor a High English Court home. The home is designed with an emphasis on the Owner's love out outdoor living areas, as evidenced by a Grand Covered Loggia on the rear of the home overlooking the gardens and the lake. The design also is intended to make the home less massive, in its use of smaller more human-scaled towers, arcades, and building forms instead of consolidating all living areas under a single massive roof form. This technique insures that the home feels more comfortable and less imposing, as well as opens up opportunities for maximum access to the rear yard views by as many rooms as possible.
