The Deja Residence is located in Bachelor Gulch at Beaver Creek Ski Resort. The primary design challenge was the steepness of the terrain, which prevented entrance to the main level of the house from the front courtyard. In order to create a dramatic entrance to the home at the lowest level, RMT created a grand entrance hall that leads one from the front door to a glorious octagonal stairwell that contains a unique log stair that climbs up the back of the Lodge for three floors.

The house features a centrally located stair which brings the guest directly into the great room, and enables natural light to stream down and through the center of the home on all three levels, into areas that would otherwise be gloomy and dark.

We are very proud of our achievement of a prime objective of the Owner, which was his concise schedule of 18 months from initial design to completion.
