This home is located in Mammoth Lakes, California, and is comprised of heavy log, timber, and dry-stack stone detailing. The lot on which it sits is quite small due to the setback provisions of the development, so the challenge herein was to get everything the Owner desired into the available buildable area without making the home appear box-like. The height restrictions were stringent here as well, so we have to balance out making the home spacious, while simultaneously breaking up the rooflines and exterior forms.
